History repeats - The braveness of Indian Soldiers

According to the legend in both the wars more than 3,000 bombs were droped on temple or  surrounding the temple area, but none exploded.  Tanot Mata Temple is 125 KMs away from Jaisalmer city in Western side of Rajasthan and today Tanot Mata Temple become one of the famous tourist spot becasue of the heroic action of Indian army and blessings of Karni Mata.  Tanot is a village near Indo-Pak border and the temple was established on early eighth century.

The development of the Temple after 1971 war
After 1971 war, the fame of Tanot Mata and her miracle reached everywhere in the world and temple become "Tirta Sthan", one who love mother land.  People all over the world started to visit the temple to seek the blessings of Tanot Mata especilly patriotic people of Bharat Desh(India).  Even the Pakistani General asked his Indian counterpart about the miracle, and on knowing the story of the power of the temple and Tanot Mata, to satiate his curiosity, decided to visit the temple. After granting his request,he paid homage to the Goddess Tanot Mata.

BSF constructed a big temple on that post along with a war Museum as the symbol of victory
where the unexploded bomb shot at Indian Army were kept. Indian Army built a "Vijay Stambha" as the mark of the victory of Longewala post inside the temple compound and every year a celebration takes place on December 16 as commemoration of the great victory over Pakistan in 1971.  Even today, these unexploded bombs are on display inside the temple which is worth inspiration.  This temple is maintained by the Indian Army. The Goddess Tanot Mata is worshipped by BSF Jawan daily.

The speciality of these two wars are, Indian Army never give any chance to enemy to enter into India, may be Sadewala Post or the fronts of Jaisalmer.  It was guarded by a company of 120 men led by Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri.
