The False Patriotism of News Media Pandits

The news media's mood in Pakistan had also turned increasingly the less patriotism and more militaristic against East Pakistan and India to take the revenge of defeats of past wars when the West Pakistani news media reported the complexity of the situation in the East Pakistan, though the reactions from Pakistan's news media pundits were not proper but mixed, and encouraging news, how they can success to face the war instead of solving the critical position of West Pakistan in all angle.

A Propaganda Campaign "Crush India and Destroy India"

But West Pakistan was depending on terrorism to solve the problem, which was impossible. By the end of September 1971, a propaganda campaign, possibly orchestrated by elements within the government of Pakistan resulted in stickers and posters endorsing "Crush India and Destroy India" becoming a standard feature on the rear windows of vehicles in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Lahore and all other cities of West Pakistan; this soon spread to the rest of West Pakistan.  But "Crush India slogan resulted into Crush West Pakistan".  By October, other stickers proclaimed Hang the Traitor in an apparent reference to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as the leader of Awami League and the front leader of the formation of Bangladesh.  By the first week of December 1971, the conservative print media outlets in the country had published their favorite jihad related materials to boost the recruitment in the military.  But all these propaganda which was terror forced planned confused the West Pakistan leader and tempted it to force the air strike on India without the war skill and no war strategy.

India's Official Engagement with West Pakistan

By the end of April 1971, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had asked the Indian Army chief General Sam Manekshaw if he was ready to go to war with Pakistan.  According to Manekshaw's own statement, he refused because the weather condition was not supportive and no proper military equipment and the major reason was the onset of the monsoon season in East Pakistan and the fact that the army tanks were being refitted and make ready for war. He offered his resignation, which Gandhi rejected understanding the fact that he told. He then said "he could guarantee victory if she would allow him to prepare for the conflict on his terms and conditions" and set a date for it.  And Indira Gandhi as the Prime Minister of India accepted his conditions. In reality, being a Prime Minister and an intelligent leader, Indira Gandhi was well aware of the difficulties of hasty decisions of military action, but she needed to get the military's views to satisfy her Aggressive and militant nature colleagues and the public opinion, which were critical of India's restraint.  But Indira Gandhi then PM of India always gave importance to Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a young opposition leader and a well-versed war strategy leader.  And Atalji also described Indira Gandhi as an "Abhinava Durga" after the great win on the West Pakistan war and the formation of Bangladesh.

Indo-Pakistan war Certain to Happen. The Soviet Union Reportedly Warned Pakistan No War

By November 1971, an Indian-Pakistani war seemed certain to happen. The Soviet Union reportedly warned Pakistan against the war, which they termed as "suicidal course for Pakistan's unity". part-3 means already India defeated Pakistan two times that was in 1948 and 1965 the war which was memorable wars.  Despite this warning, in November 1971, thousands of people led by conservative Pakistani politicians marched in Lahore and across Pakistan, calling for Pakistan to "defeat India and crush India".  Which was just become the dream of Pakistan but never, in reality, possible because India is a peaceful nation and only and only it goes for war in its defense but not in the mind of conquering opponents whoever may be.  India responded by starting a massive buildup of the Indian Army on the Western borders and in the The Eastern side gave a good enough training to the Mukti Bahini and other Guerilla Force.  And the army waited until December when the drier ground in the East would have made for easier operations and the Himalayan passes would have been closed by snow, preventing any Chinese intervention.  But China never shows any interest to enter it into the war.  On 23 November, President Yahya Khan provoked by terror thought and declared a state of emergency in all of Pakistan and told his people to prepare for war, but this decision was not in the Favor of Pakistani people because they were becoming fed up with war again and again instead they want development and progress of Pakistan as a terror-free country.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Launched a Surprise Pre-emptive Attack On India

In the evening of 3rd December, at about 17:40 PM evening, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) launched a surprise attack to disabling India 'without knowing the strength of Indian Military Force', strikes on eleven airfields in north-western India, including Agra, which was 480 kilometers  (300 mi) away from the border. At the time of this attack, the Taj Mahal 'the pride historical monument of India and the World had were camouflaged with a forest of twigs and leaves and draped with burlap because its marble glowed like a white beacon in the moonlight.

The Pre-emptive Strikes Curse to West Pakistan and Boon to Bharat

These preemptive strikes, known as Operation Chengiz Khan, were inspired by the success of Israeli Operation Focus in the Arab–Israeli Six-Day War. Pakistan flew no more than 50 planes to India. But in the case of West Pakistan, these strikes become a curse and for India a boon because India was looking forward to starting the war against Pakistan.

The same day evening, the Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, in her an address to the nation on Air India Radio held that the airstrikes of foolish West Pakistan were a declaration of war against India.  After hearing the PM of India on AIR, the Indian Air Force (IAF)  responded with initial air strikes that very night. These expanded to massive retaliatory air strikes the next morning.

The Air Strikes of Pak - Begin of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971

This air strikes action marked the official start of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971; Prime Minister Indira Gandhi ordered the immediate mobilization of troops on both sides of India West and East and launched a full-scale invasion of Pakistan. This involved Indian forces in massive coordinated air, sea, and land assaults on Pakistan from all fronts without leaving a chance to escape from the war.  The main Indian objective on the Eastern front was to capture Dhaka(Dacca), and on the Western front was to prevent Pakistan from entering Indian soil.  There was no Indian intention of conducting any major offensive into Pakistan to dismember it into different states.
