Bharat Mata - The Image of Inspiration (Mother India)
Bharat Mata or Mother India is the national personification of Bharat Desh or an India as a Mother Goddess. She is usually clad in a Saffron Sari or White Sari holding the Indian national flag and accompanied by a lion. Because She is the Adi Para Shakti called Maa Durga.

तुमि विद्या, तुमि धर्म
तुमि हृदि, तुमि मर्म
त्वम् हि प्राणा: शरीरे
बाहुते तुमि मा शक्ति,

तोमारई प्रतिमा गडी मन्दिरे-मन्दिरे।।
त्वम् हि दुर्गा दशप्रहरणधारिणी
कमला कमलदलविहारिणी
वाणी विद्यादायिनी,
नमामि त्वाम्
नमामि कमलाम्
अमलां अतुलाम्
सुजलां सुफलाम्
मातरम्।।
वन्दे मातरम्
श्यामलाम् सरलाम्
सुस्मिताम् भूषिताम्
धरणीं भरणीं
मातरम्।।

After the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against the British, the concept of Bharat Mata as the personification of the Indian subcontinent came into existence. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in his book Anand Math in 1882 gave a fantastic and a great idea about Bharat Mata which inspires all Indians unite and fight for the Nation to make Bharat Mata free from enemies. "Vande Mataram" hymn, written in Anand Math make the emerging freedom movement in India,the Indian nationalist developed it into an icon of nationalism. During this period only the Tiranga flag came in to existence and a perfect sketch is planned for the nation build.The Bharat Mata Mandir was built in Benaras in 1936 by Shiv Prashad Gupta and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. Now 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata Mandir' become more political images of Indian freedom fight and these two images entered in religious practice to inspire each and every citizens of the Nation.
