National Identity - National Symbols of India : Respects India
The Republic of India has several official National Identity and these Identities are called "National Symbol of India". These national symbols are an extremely important and basic characteristic's of India. These National Symbols as they infuse a sense of pride and patriotism in every Indian's heart irrespective of the place wherever he stays in the World. National Symbols include a historical document of India, a National flag of India, an anthem, an emblem, a memorial tower, the national animal, the national bird, fruit and tree. Around 24 National Symbols are recorded in the Republic of India.

Salute - National Flag of India
The Indian National Flag is a horizontal rectangular tricolor that is also called Tiranga. Tiranga is equally sized and "Kesari" that is deep saffron at the top which indicates the strength and courage of the nation. "Safed" meaning white in the middle indicates peace and truth with Dharma Chakra. Dharma Chakra's diameter approximates to the width of the white band and it has 24 spokes. This Dharma Chakra is known as Asoka Chakra and it is in navy blue colour. And at the bottom "Hara" that is Indian Green indicates the fertility, growth and auspiciousness of the land. The design of the National Flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 22 July 1947. The flag is based on the Swaraj flag designed by Pingali Venkayya, a freedom fighter from Andhra Pradesh.

National Emblem & National Motto of India
The Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka is adapted as the State Emblem of India. There are four lions, standing back to back, three are visible and fourth being hidden from view. A broad horizontal band sculptures mounted on an abacus with a high relief of an elephant, a galloping horse, a bull and a lion separated by intervening wheels over a bell-shaped lotus. Carved out of a single block of polished sandstone. This Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath was adopted as the National Emblem of India on 26 January 1950, the day India became a republic. Here the wheel represents the "Dharma Chakra" meaning Law. Forming an integral part of the emblem is the motto inscribed below the abacus in Devanagari script that is in Sanskrit : "Satyameva Jayate" meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs', a quote taken from Manduka Upanishad, Upanishads are the part of Vedas.

National Anthem - Jana Gana Mana meaning "Thou Art the Ruler of the Minds of All People"
Jana Gana Mana is the national anthem of India. It was written by a great scholar Rabindranath Tagore in Bengali language as Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata. It was first publicly sung on 27 December 1911 by Rabindranath Tagore in the Calcutta (now Kolkata) Session of the Indian National Congress. Then, at the annual event of the Adi Brahmo Samaj, this song was sung second time. That time this song was known by only who read Tattwabodhini Patrika, it was published in a journal in January 1912, and published by Adi Brahmo Samaj. The title of the poem was Bharat Bhagya Bidhata and the editor was Rabindranath Tagore.

जन-गण-मन was Selected as National Anthem By Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose
Subhas Chandra Bose was selected this song as National Anthem when he was in Germany, on the founding meeting of the German-Indian Society on 11th September 1942 in the Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg. And this Jana Gana Mana was played for the first time by the Hamburg Radio Symphony Orchestra as the National Anthem of an Independent India. The first stanza of the song Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the National Anthem on 24 January 1950.
जन-गण-मन Played at The General Assembly of the United Nations held at New York
In 1947, the members of the Indian Delegation to the General Assembly of the United Nations held at New York, gave a recording of Jana Gana Mana as the National's National Anthem. The song was played by the house orchestra in front of the representatives of the World leader.

The Indian Constituent Assembly assembled for the first time as a sovereign body on 14th August 1947, midnight, on the occasion of India attaining freedom, and the session closed with a unanimous performance of 'Jana Gana Mana' song considering as the National Anthem.
In Hamrahi film, "Jana Gana Mana" song was sung, and in 1935, this song was adopted as a School song of The Doon School,in Dehradun.
