Mata Hinglaj Devi at Baluchistan

Hingula Devi also called Hinglaj Devi, and Nani Mandir is a Devi temple in Hinglaj, a town on the Makran coast in the Lasbela district of Baluchistan, and in the middle of the Hingol National Park.  The Devi is famous as Hinglaj Mata and "Kula Devi" means family deity for many more Hindus of Pakistan and North Indians as well as South Indians, that's why more than 3,00,000 devotees take part in the Hinglaj Yathra during the spring and celebrate Jatra meaning Mela means gathering of devotees and celebrating the festivals.  Surrounding Muslims worshiped Her and called Nani Mata and the temple is called Nani Mandir.  Muslims also took part in the Mela celebration and show equal interest with their Hindu brothers and sisters.  And this temple is also famous as one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in the Shaktism denomination of Hinduism.  So Hindus whenever they will go for Shakti Peethas Darshan Yaatra meaning pilgrimage visit, definitely visit this temple without fail.  Because Shakti Peethas is considered as the shrine where Goddess Sati means Mata Parvati will be worshiped with Lord Shiva as Bhairava.  Mata Hinglaj Devi is one of the three Shakti Peethas in Pakistan, the other two being Shivaharkaray and Sharada Peeth.  It is a form of Durga Devi in a mountain cavern on the banks of the Hingol River.  Over the last four decades, the place has gained increasing popularity and became a unifying point of reference for Pakistan's many Hindu communities with their Indian relatives. Hinglaj Yatra or the pilgrimage trip is the largest Hindu pilgrimage in Pakistan from 1980 onwards.

Location of Mata Hinglaj Devi

It is at the end of a range of Kirthar Mountains, in the Makran desert stretch, on the west bank of Hingol River. The area is under the Hingol National Park.
